Miss Glossybox - Sep/Oct Product Review: NYC Colour in a Minute "Times Square"

I'll admit, when I realised I had scheduled myself to test and review this, it was with a certain sense of trepidation that I reached for it. I had just been using OPI nail varnishes for a couple of weeks and I thought that, because this is only £1.79 a bottle, it would inevitably be a disappointment.
Well I can eat those words.
Wow is all I can say about this stuff really! First impressions were that it was a gorgeous colour. Initially, I'd written off as just a kind of "meh, red", but actually it's quite a complex pink based shade that's pleasantly different from anything in my collection. Application is amazing; the brush is fantastic - much better than the Models Own brush in my opinion (please don't hurt me) - and, get this, it was opaque in one coat. That's right. That's more than many much higher end nail varnishes achieve, in my experience.
I did apply Revlon's 30 second drying top coat (or whatever the official name is) to this, as I do with all nail varnishes as I am so, so, so impatient when it comes to nails drying! That being said, this nail varnish did dry really fast on its own.
In terms of wearability, it was fine. It's hard for me to say really, I don't feel I can give an objective opinion on it, as I'm so clumsy I chip my nails all the time, no matter what nail varnish or top coat I'm wearing. I'd say this wore well, not brilliantly, but certainly much better than I expected for the price.
I was so impressed with this stuff that I went out to Superdrug to buy three more bottles. Well actually, I went to buy one, but they were on 3 for 2 and I couldn't resist!
I'll report back once I've used those ones, but hopefully it'll be to say that they're just as good as this one.

Have you ever used these nail varnishes and what did you think of them?

Thanks for reading,
