Barry M Matte Nail Paint in Caramel | Review

Barry M Matte Nail Paint in Caramel

This is the Barry M Matte nail paint in Caramel, available here at Boots for £3.99  - though there's frequently offers on too. The  Matte range is new to the brand and I've already snapped up a couple, with an eye to possibly grabbing a couple more.

It's a very subtle 'your nails but better' kind of look, which makes it very wearable and also very on trend for Spring '14. This colour is a yellow based muted brown, nice and warm which works well for me on my super pale skin tone, but I always think with neutrals, you have to choose carefully to match your own colouring. For example, the much blogger-beloved Nails Inc Porchester Square makes me look like a corpse, and a haggard one at that. Back to the Barry M Caramel though, the matte finish is really great and application to get a good finish is easy. It does take two coats and I do think the formula isn't quite as good as the
regular Barry M nail paints, but it's still awesome really.

This truly is my current nail polish obsession, it's so chic and on trend but at the same time, so socially acceptable for wearing to job interviews or coffee with your gran, unlike some of the other BOLD nail trends the past few seasons have brought us. Finally fashion starts to make sense.

Have you tried any of the nail varnishes from this range?

  1. I have the vanilla in this range that I got in the AX Paris goody bag . I usually go for pinks and sparkles but I love my shade too :) one of my first neutral shades xx

    1. Yeah the Vanilla is great, I have it too - it's a neutral but it's still kinda pink toned so it's definitely a more girly option! It's not as flattering on my skin tone though, sadly. :( xx
