Favourite Five: Spring Lips

Left to  Right//

First off did you really think there would be a lipstick post without me mentioning a Baby Lips? No chance! Secondly, it feels really weird to be writing this post as, while I do, it's pouring down outside and according to the Met Office website it 'feels like' 2c. Well, if that ain't Spring, I don't know what is.

Bourjois Rouge Edition Lipstick in Peche Cosy // A lovely coral colour with a matte(ish) finish. It's not too bold which makes it a great first step if you're looking to branch out a try a coral lip for the first time, or, for me, a great colour for wearing to work - it's Spring time, without shouting about it.

Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick in Ringa Ringa Roses // I actually bought this on my birthday way back in February, but I've really only started wearing it recently. It's a slightly sparkly almost Barbie pink kinda colour - it's a huge leap from the berry tones of winter and I love it.

Barry M Lip Paint in 53 // I actually swatched this one night while hanging around Tesco, you know, as you do. I was killing time waiting for Kenny to pick a milkshake or something else, no doubt dairy based, and I was just idly swatching anything really, not even really paying attention, and then I saw this and I knew I had to have it... but not so much I didn't wait and get it as part of the Boots 3 for 2! It's a pinky, coraly shimmery wonderfulness - definitely more bold than Peche Cosy from Bourjois, but then there's nothing wrong with a bit of punch.

MUA Power Pout in Runaway // I don't necessarily feel this live up to the hype they get in the blogging community; I don't find them to all that long lasting, and I feel they're stickier than is pleasant, but I am really digging this colour just now. A warm pinky red, it looks a lot more intense on the paper swatch than it actually looks on my lips, but it gives them a great glossy look as well as a moderate hit of colour.

Maybelline Baby Lips in Pink Punch // Ah, Baby Lips. Need I go on? This pink is candy cute, moisturising and a lot more flattering than it looks in the tube! It can build up pretty well too, if you'd like some stronger colour but for me, Baby Lips give a great, lasting tint that's wearable and doesn't damage your lips.

So that's the round up of my favourite Spring lipsticks (and, OK, one sneaky Baby Lips too...)
I'd love to hear what colours you're reaching for just now?
