Nails Inc Sloane Avenue

So this is the 'April' polish from the Nails Inc Diary - which contains 12 polishes, one for each month. I have to say, I wasn't looking forward to this one very much; it just didn't look like the kind of colour I go for that often, and, for when I do, I now have the Models Own Hypergel in Coral Glaze (which I love!). From the bottles, it looks like these two colours would be very similar - in colour, not in finish obviously!

Actually they're not similar Sloane Avenue is much more neon than the Models Own colour, which is good because it means I don't have dupes in my collection, but truthfully, I don't see me getting a whole lotta wear out of this one. It would look fantastic with a tan, espeically abroad on holiday somewhere, but for me a tan is about as likely as sprouting a prehensile tail so as it stands, it just really washes out my skin tone.

Formula wise it's a goodun; two coat easy application with no gloops or streaks, and finish wise, it looks kinda matte on my nails. Not like a true matte polish, but certainly a lot less glossy than other Nails Inc polishes. Sloane Avenue isn't listed on the website and I'm struggling to find swatches from other people, so I can't really comment on whether the semi-matte thing exists or is just me being weird.

So, yeah, if you're going on holiday or aren't so pale you have moths circling you I'd recommend giving this a shot, but alas for me it's not a favourite.

  1. I've just put this polish on and I've also found it's turned out kinda matte! Glad I'm not the only one who found this odd!
