FOTD: Daily Grunge

PRODUCTS USED:

So, this is kinda what I'm doing with my face at the moment; it's grungy and I know heavy eye makeup isn't to everyone's taste for an everyday look - but I feel like with the super nude/muted lip look it works. What can I say, there's still a little mosher kid living inside me; I love me some heavy eye makeup.

My cheeks look pretty rosy in these photos, I'm not wearing any blusher and I don't think they look as ruddy in real life (maybe I'm kidding myself...) but I do have darker cheeks, it's just my complexion.

The foundation and concealer were applied and worked in with my fingers; I like a light base and find products easier to work with when I use my fingers anyway (*noob alert*). Then I moved onto my brows, which look a bit drawn on here but a) I swear they don't in real life and b) I only fill in the front anyway so there's no excuse for them looking so odd here!

Then onto eyes, my favourite part! I cover my eyelid and under my lower lash line with the Rimmel pencil - I find it great for me, I don't need an expensive primer as I don't have issues with creasing/smudging, but this works as a good base for things to 'stick' too all the same and it makes colours pop.

I first used Venus and highlighted under my brow bone and the inside corner of my eye. After that I washed the middle third(ish) of my lid with Smog, and then worked some Dark Horse into the outside corner/crease. After that I took a brow brush and worked some Dark Horse under my lower lash line, then blended out a little with my finger. Then I used some of the West liner on my water line, and, as a final addition I used the Stila Smudge Stick in the very outside corner of my eye to give it a little pop and smoulder.

And that's it; I just quickly applied mascara and my beloved Lip Butter and that's the look. Very eye focused I know, and, like I said; I'm sure it's not everyone's cup of tea, but hey, how dull would it be if we were all the same?
