#FridayFaves: Energising Shower Products

I spend most of winter trying to find the most relaxing, warming and soothing products to use in my shower - to relieve a blocked nose, to bring life back to warm tootsies and to provide a general antidote to the harsh winter climate. The Spring rolls around and despite the fact it's only about three degrees warmer outside, and I do in fact have a worse cold now than I ever had in winter, I abandon all of those products and begin hunting out gels, scrubs and polishes to leave me feel fresh, zingy and revitalised. So here are my top five picks for energising shower products:

1. Soap and Glory Sugar Crush Body Scrub - £8.00
This product is so well known and so loved, I'm sure it would appear on almost anyone's list! What I will say is that even though it has a super sweet, girly smell - be aware, this thing is one serious exfoliator! Very thick and textured it really leaves skin feeling fresh and my God, that smell - easily one of my favourite smells of all time; like ice cream soda, with added awesome. Thankfully the smell stays on your skin for a long time afterwards too.

2. Satsuma Body Polish from The Body Shop - £10.00
I bought this quite recently and I was kind of on the fence about it for a while, but now I'm pretty sure I love it! It comes in a tube and is a lot more liquid than a scrub, but ultimately it still seems to do a heck of a job, not to mention that lovely satsuma smell. I have a full review coming pretty soon for this one.

3. LUSH Sea Vegetable Soap - £3.10/100g
This is definitely my favourite soap for feeling awake in the morning! Although it's a solid soap it still packs in some good, hard exfoliating thanks to the sea salt it contains. It smells like lemon and lime - as in a very real, sharp, citrus smell, not a sugary artificial thing, and honestly, it just leaves you feeling like ZING!

4. L'Occitane Verbena Shower Gel - £14.00
Another citrus option here, but very different from the Sea Veg above, Verbena has more of a soft smell, I mean, it smells freaking strong - it doesn't seem it in the bottle, but once you start using it under the hot water, wow, those oils will fill the room - but it smells less sharp and more fragrant than the LUSH citrus scent. It's also very soothing on my skin, which is handy after a good exfoliation!

5. LUSH Buffy solid Body Butter - £10.95
This one doesn't have the bold citrus based scent that most of the others do, and I'll admit it's probably the most gentle of the lot... but I still think it's amazing. It moisturises and soothes, because it contains cocoa butter and lavender, while the inclusion of almond chunks means it buffs away dead skin lickety split. So yeah, this one definitely deserves a mention for being dual skilled!
