What Happened This Week #3

Can't believe that's another week gone by - feels like just yesterday I was saying "I can't believe it's May!", and now we're almost half way through - crazy! This week has also been another busy one with work, the store's been open a few weeks now, and I think we're all looking forward to things becoming a bit more settled - it's getting there, slowly but surely.

I did, however, manage to actually do something on my day off this week (rather than collapsing in a pyjama clad heap and watching Frozen I mean... although actually we did do that in the evening), it was my mum's birthday so we went out for a yummy lunch at a local Italian restaurant. I had the risotto stuffed peppers (pictured above) and have thought about them every five minutes since, thinking about having a go at making some at home - anyone have a good recipe?

We also visited the local farm park for a couple of hours, it was raining so the animals were a little inactive, but, on the plus side - very few screaming children in the park. So I'm counting that as a win. It's actually a really great farm park - not your usual pigs, goats and cows (though there are some...) this place has monkeys, lemurs, otters, raccoons and so much  more, honestly, I can (and do) spend all day wandering around there.

The weather has been all over the place here this week, heavy rain mixed in with glorious sunshine. I love going for walks when it's like this: after the rain, everything seems so alive, all the birds come back out, the grass looks extra green..... aaaaahhhhhh, Unfortunately this week I seem to have done something to my foot meaning I'm walking like Quasimodo and frankly, can barely make it through shifts at work and so extra walking has not been top of my "things to do" list.

On the blog this week I started out with a good ol' haul. Oh yeah. This one is a collective haul from a day up in Glasgow - which is something I love, it's like a mega treat from me. It was a pretty well rounded haul with stuff from Tiger, H&M, LUSH, Superdrug and I'm sure elsewhere too - I bought far too much!

I then gave some love, and some pretty rambly info on a new favourite product of mine: satsuma body polish from The Body Shop. If you haven't tried it or heard of it, I seriously recommend checking out the blog post to find out some more - honestly, this is a whole load of Spring awesomeness.

I then tried out the May polish from my Nails Inc Polish Diary and had umm.... mixed feelings about it. I don't want to give it all away but suffice to say it wasn't my usual 'love at first sight' that I typically experience with Nails Inc polishes.

Next up I did my #FridayFaves  and this week I chose to show some of my "Unsung Hero" products, you know, the things we use all the time but never talk about. And hey, after reading this post you might be thinking "yeah... there's a reason we don't talk much about them", but still, I felt they deserved some lovin'.

And then yesterday was a NOTD post featuring a very much blogger loved polish from Models Own - Utopia. I had some reservations before I bought it, but let's just say once I had it and tried it on; there was absolutely no uncertainty about my feelings for it!

And that folks, wraps up another week on the blog. I did miss a post last week - I had scheduled it but it didn't go up, but, because I was out doing Birthday stuff all day, I didn't notice until it was too late really. Oh well, it's bound to happen sometimes.
