May Favourites

So this month I feel like I don't have the biggest selection of favourites for you, but then, I suppose the flip side of that is that they are all true favourites and I've just used less products this month because I was lucky enough to find ones I fell in love with!

Dove Nourishing Hair Care Leave in Conditioning and Care Spray
Bit of a mouthful of a title there. I saw this recommended by various well known YouTubers and, with my hair in a weird, dry, tantrumy phase I knew I had to get my hands on this. Cue it being out of stock in my local Superdrug and Boots. *sigh*. Anyway, I eventually got it and I'm so glad I did. You shake it up and then just spray it liberally on wet or dry hair. That's what's so great about it. I can use it literally any time I remember; there's no "shoot, I just washed my hair yesterday, need to wait until next week now" or, "I don't want to put it on before I go out, it looks greasy"... because it's just amazing. It's so light and so beautifully scented it's hard to remember it's a product that's actually helping your hair.

Revlon Lip Butter in Creme Brulee
I mentioned this in a post only yesterday so I'm really not going to go on about it again... I promise! I've worn it almost every day this month though so it seemed only right it still got a mention, as repetitive as it may be. It's so flattering, so kind to my lips and so perfect when combined with a heavy, grungy eye.

Soap and Glory Glow Lotion
As I mentioned when I hauled it, this is about as close as I get to any kind of fake tan or body shimmer. I love this stuff, I've been using it - in Summer - for years. Firstly, it smells amazing - and strong too, Kenny compliments me every time I have it on!  It's also not aggravating for my super sensitive skin - so that's another major plus, and, it looks so pretty. It just gives a very gentle shimmer - or, as the name kinda hints, more of a glow. I wear it all over my arms if they're bare, but I think it looks especially flattering around the collarbone/shoulders/chest.

Soap and Glory Sugar Crush Body Wash
What can I say? This has to be one of my all time favourite shower smells for Summer. It's so lively and sweet but it has that slightly different 'ice cream soda' thing going on so it's not 'just another fruit smell'. I don't have issues with it on my skin either, but one thing I will say is that compared to more high end shower gels, you need to use quite a bit to get a lather going - they sell this stuff in giant bottles for a reason!

Revlon Parfumeire Nail Polish in Lime Basil
Yes I have mentioned this previously and I did at the time talk about how it smelled a bit like a toilet cleaner to me - which I know, doesn't exactly sell it as a favourite, but hear me out. The formula of this stuff is amazing and the colour is so original and so 'me' that I just ignore the fact it has a scent (it's not super overpowering anyway) and I love it all the same.

LUSH The Sacred Truth Face Mask
I did a post on this a couple of weeks ago now. It's been a game changer for me to say the least. I've never got on with the few face masks I'd tried and I'd always suspected that they were maybe kind of a gimmick - until I was recommended this one. This mask is so gentle on my skin but it does so much! It brightens, softens, plumps, soothes and clears dull looking skin - this is the ultimate treat for tired skin, or for you when you're tired after a long week at work. Using it straight from the fridge makes it feel extra amazing

The Balm's How 'Bout Them Apples Lip and Cheek Colour Palette
I have a full post with swatches and more details coming on this one but I still had to feature it here - even if it is a bit of a tease! I've known I'm a cream blusher gal for some time now - I have natually rosy cheeks (not as great as it sounds by the way) and I often find powders look really artificial and painted on whereas creams work with the natural colour and create a more even but still natural looking glow. This palette is the best I've found in terms of cream blushers. They're soft, the colour range is fantastic and they are so workable on the skin - none of this one dab and your frantically trying to buff the stuff in before it dries and you look like a clown all day.
