A Very Mini IKEA Haul

I love Ikea, I mean, I freaking LOVE it. Soft furnishings, storage, meatballs - it's like I've died and gone to heaven. I could spend days in there. A couple of weeks ago I took Kenny along for his first time - bless him, he had no idea what he was in for. What ensued was five hours of sitting on display chairs for slightly longer than is socially polite, eating many hotdogs and the obligatory forgetting something and having to go all the way back to the start and missing all the 'short cuts' to do so. It was a really great day, to say Kenny 'enjoyed himself' is probably pushing it, but he certainly left well fed! I was really restrained in my purchases in the end; I had been indecisive all day - picking things up and putting them back down constantly, but ultimately I just picked up a few token goodies.

I actually bought these cute little patterned plastic trays with the blog in mind; they make great backdrops for taking photos on. They're a really cute size (just smaller than A4) and the patterns are original and cheerful without being too in your face. They are also the perfect size for carrying a bowl of soup and some buttered bread on!

This comes in a glass jar and has a burn time of 40hrs. I've never used an IKEA candle before so I have no idea what to expect but figured for this price I didn't have much to lose! I love the apple scent, which is really strong to sniff - I'm hoping this translates to the scent it will product when it's burning.

I love blankets; I love wrapping them round myself when I first wake up in the morning and I love snuggling under them on the couch to watch a film. These simple ones from IKEA are super budget friendly and still get the job done. Wanna bet how long it's gonna take for a cat to find this and claim it?

I love the stuff from the Brakig collection and could have happily bought...well, all of it really, but I calmed myself and stuck to picking up just this little wooden laptop stand which is plain pine on top and a bold orange underneath - very chic. Aside from how beautiful it is, this is actually a very practical purchase (and long overdue too) for me. I use my laptop constantly and I hate having it balanced on my legs when I'm not at my desk.

So that's it! Wasn't I amazingly restrained?! Of course I did spectacularly manage to forget the thing I actually went to buy (bed sheets) so, oh darn it, I guess I'll need to take a trip back soon. ;) thanks for reading!
