Rose Queen Bath Bomb from LUSH

It's bath time once again folks - well, not actually bath time together, I mean I like you all, but I just feel a bath tub blog meet would be odd. No, once again you get to enjoy a bath vicariously through my poor descriptions of scent and ramblings of LUSH related childhood nostalgia. Today's tub treat is the Rose Queen bath bomb.

Rose Queen costs £2.75 and is available here, and in LUSH stores. I was mega excited to try this one as I have a bit of a thang for rose scented products, but honestly - while I did enjoy this - I wouldn't say it was up there with my all time favourite LUSH bath bombs.

It fizzes away and leaves your bath water a pale pink, which is pretty, and it does smell really good - but I'd say it was more 'floral' than a very distinct/strong rose scent, but depending on your tastes, that could be a good thing. Inside is supposed to be lots of petals, and, I'm assuming I got unlucky here, but I got the one super adorable flower on the right (above) and like two other petals... and then it was weird twiggy bits, which a) aren't that attractive and b) are hard and kinda uncomfortable! But like I said, I think I may have been unlucky here.

It contains rose absolute which is supposed to be great for softening skin but I can't say I noticed that feeling afterwards; certainly nothing like what you get after a Butterball, but then, it didn't irritate or dry out my super sensitive skin either, so I'm not going to complain!

Overall, yes, I did enjoy the Rose Queen Bath Bomb but I can't say, with all the other choices out there, that I'd rush out for another one of these.

Have you tried it? What did you think?
