Sleek Makeup Haul

I had a discount code for the Sleek website and so I decided that somehow justified me buying things. It doesn't, I have too much makeup as it is. Sleek is a brand I've only really become familiar with in the past 6 months or so, maybe a little longer now (boy doesn't time fly) but they're fast becoming a go-to brand for me. One thing I hadn't tried from them yet was a lipstick - so you see, that's how I justified this haul; I still needed to try a lipstick. Hmm..

So the three lipsticks I got to try - because why buy one to try when you can buy three - are (top to bottom) Dare, Barely There and Cherry.

Dare // A matte finish, deep burgundy colour.
Barely There // A sheen finish peachy nudey colour - this is actually darker and more orange toned than I was thinking it was going to be, I like the colour, but I'm not sure how I'll feel about it on me.
Cherry // My favourite of the three. Also a sheen finish this is, as the name more than hints at, a deep cherry red that's very classic. Can't wait to wear this in winter!

I haven't worn them yet so I can't comment on any of that but the texture of them feels very soft and the pigmentation is really strong.

I then picked up two more of their eyeshadow palettes because I utterly love them - I'm fast running out of ones to buy though! The first one I chose was the Vintage Romance palette (on the left in the above photo), which I had always avoided before because I thought it was very pink toned and pink shadows mostly make me look ill. But actually they're a lot more purple than pink and the other shades in the palette provide a great balance for them - I'll be sure to do a post showing some of my favourite looks when I've had time to play around a little more.

The second palette I chose was Bad Girl and let me tell you; it is UH.MAZ.ING. It's going to be awesome for autumn winter as it's filled with fantastic jewel tones, man y of which are darker shades that are going to make just the most amazing smokey, grungy eyes. I hadn't ever seen this before on the Superdrug or Boots websites, 'cos if I had, I'd have snapped it up looonnng ago.

The last thing I chose was one of their Blush By 3 palettes, this time in the shade Pink Lemonade (what a cute name!). It contains two powder blushes, Icing Sugar, a pink with coral tones running through it and a shimmer to it as well, and Pink Mint which also has shimmer in it and is a much paler, candy pink. In the middle sits Macaroon a cream blush that's a kind of rose pink shade and is very well pigmented - warning: you do not need much of this... trust me!

And so that's what I picked up from Sleek - I feel like I just can't get enough of their products, I guess it's probably a good thing that nowhere close to me stocks it!
