Drugstore Beauty Haul

Another week, another haul it would seem - though to be honest, this is actually from a few weeks ago, I'm just fitting it into the blog now. I literally wanted to re-buy my Wake Me Up Foundation and look, a whole haul worth of stuff... *sigh* I'm sure I'm not the only one!

So it was buy one get one half price on Rimmel so as intended, I repurchased my Wake Me Up Foundation (£8.99) as I'm running low and I just love the dewy, glowing finish for Summer - although, I look like a mug now as Summer is well and truly over here in Glasgow. Anyway, Along with that I repurchased one of the Scandaleyes Shadow Stick, in Taupe (£4.49). Again, I'm running low on this and I freaking love it for everyday wear. But then, oh, look there's more of the Scandaleyes pencils in the Kate Moss range, I'll need to try one of those; so I picked up the Kate Moss Scandaleyes Shadow Stick in Rose Gold (£4.49) and wow am I glad I did - what a beautiful shade and of course, as always with this range, the formula is awesome.  And since I 'needed' one more item to make good use of the offer, I also picked up one of the Salon Pro Nail Varnishes (£4.49) in White Orchid which looks off puttingly pearly in the bottle but actually looks a lot more flattering on the nail, and plus, I just love the brush and formula of this stuff.

Over to Barry M now where it was also buy one get one half price so I picked up a couple of polishes. I got the classic Nail Paint in Shocking Pink (£2.99) and also one of the Gelly Nail Paints in Blue Grape (£3.99)  I love Barry M polishes and think they're great value for money - these shades are so bold and on point for Summer.

Blue Grape, Shocking Pink and White Orchid

It was then over to Superdrug where Maybelline was buy one get one half price, so I thought I'd pick up a couple of the new (to the UK) Baby Lips Electro, I chose the colours Pink Shock and Strike a Rose (£2.99 each) because I wasn't brave enough for the other colours - though the orange shade looks super cool!

Superdrug also had Revlon buy one get one half price and so I thought I'd try out their PhotoReady BB Cream Skin Perfecter Light (£9.99) - I'd been wanting a BB Cream and I've always been impressed with Revlon's face products. Since there was an offer on and I fancied trying a new gel liner I also grabbed the Colorstay Creme Gel Eyeliner in Black (£8.99). Have to say, it's early days with this but so far I'm not so impressed - it drags a lot on application and it's not very black at all, but like I said, early days.

And that was it for special offers, but did I stop there? Ha! Nope. Over to Bourjois and I chose a couple of the Rouge Edition Lipsticks (£7.99 each) in 02 Beige Trench and 18 Violine Strass. 02 is a very pale pink that I've actually worn a lot already whereas 18 is definitely more an autumn/winter colour.

And lastly, I fancied trying an eyeliner in a colour I've never tried before and so I looked at Sleek who seem to make eyeliners in every colour under the sun and decided to try the Eau La La Eye Liner in Dragon Fruit (£4.99) which is a deep magenta and yes, unlike anything else I own!

Swatched, left to right: Sleek Eau La La Eye Liner in Dragon Fruit, Maybelline Electro Baby Lips in Pink Shock and Strike a Rose, Rimmel Scandaleyes Shadow Sticks in Taupe and Rose Gold and Bourjois Rouge Edition Lipsticks in Violine Strass and Beige Trenche.

  1. You picked up some great products. I still need to try the Wake Me Up foundation. I love the Bourjois dark berry lipstick (Violine Strass). Looks like a perfect autumn shade x

    1. Hello! Thanks for reading!
I love Violine Strass - I would wear it all year round if it didn't look a little odd! It's just so wearable, and you can really pat it in if you want something more subtle and wearable; the formula of this range is just awesome.

    1. Hi!

Yeah, looking back, that was a nice haul - got some stuff I really love! I actually have a review of the BB cream scheduled for when I'm in Florida in a couple of weeks - I feel like a lot of the bigger bloggers are 'over' BB creams so they don't review them, but I'm quite a noob with them and am always looking out for info and reviews on them - so I guess it's only right I chip in with my own!

Thanks so much for reading and commenting!
