Superdrug Haul

There are just so many releases happening right now at the drugstore and, a few weeks ago, I couldn't resist placing a little Superdrug order to try a few things out. I had also run out of a few essentials so took the opportunity to stock up too, but, y'know, that doesn't actually count as shopping... right? That's 'necessary procurment'...

Two practical items to kick of the list. First, I wanted to try the Colab Dry Shampoo (£3.49) because, basically, I'm on the look out for a great dry shampoo, Batiste just doesn't do it for me. I am a fan of Ruth Crilly (the model and blogger behind the release), but that alone wouldn't have been enough to make me try it; it was more the 'no residue' claims of the product that swayed me. I chose the Tokyo scent which is nice and fresh without being overpowering. I don't find the scent 'sticks' in my hair throughout the day either, which may be a pro or a con, depending on your preference.

I was then also desperately in need of a new quick dry topcoat for doing my nails - completely my own fault; I left my old one on my windowsill before going to Florida for three weeks and when I came back, it had totally solidified. Oops. I thought it was about time I tried out the blogger favourite Seche Vite (£5.18) and in my opinion, it totally deserves all the praise it gets; easy to apply, super fast drying and leaves a beautiful glass-like finish on the nails, what more could you want?

Then, from Maybelline, I picked up two more of the Color Show Lipsticks (£4.99). I already have two of the more nude colours, and I love the formula, so thought I'd try out two brighter colours; namely Love My Pink (on top in the swatches) and In With Coral (on the bottom in the swatches). The first swatch photo is just a line drawn straight on, very bold, but the second photo shows them smudged in a bit, which is how I tend to wear them. I love these pencils and really hope they expand the line sometime soon!

Also for lips I chose two of the Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Balm Stains (£5.99) in Vivacious (left above) and Coquette (right above). I know everyone went bananas for the matte pencils, but I've always preferred the glossy ones; the colour range and the finish. I guess though, given I'm not that into bold lips, that kinda makes sense!!

And the last lip product I chose was from Bourjois and it's one of their Colour Boost Lip Crayons (£7.99) in Peach on the Beach. I actually don't love this, it is so bright!!! Which yes, is fairly obvious from these photos, but, the one online didn't seem so bold. Oh well, the dangers of online shopping! Maybe in Summer when I have a tan (ha!) it won't seem so scary.

Then we have one eye product - which is unusual for me, normally my hauls are like 80% eyeshadow. But no, just one thing today, and it's a Barry M Bold Waterproof Eyeliner (£3.99) in Silver. I'm not entirely sure why... guess I thought it would make some nice festive looks?

And lastly, also from Barry M, I picked up one of their Silk Nail Paints (£3.99) from their more recent release of colours. I went daft for the pastel shades they released in Spring, but managed to just pick up one of these, in the shade Orchid. While I still think it's a lovely polish, I don't know if the silk effect is as pronounced/unique as with the pastel versions - anyone else experienced this, or is it just me?

And so that's it for another haul! I hope you enjoyed reading it, please let me know if there's anything you'd like to see a full post on!
