Woops, a Lush Sale Haul

"I'm only going to pick up a couple of bits really, I mean, even then, only if it's like non festive stuff. Snow Fairy? Nah, I mean I like it but it's not a thing for me..."

That was the plan anyway. I'd typically say 'I threw it out the window' but I ditched the plan so fast when I saw the sale I didn't even have time to find a window to cast it out of, I just sort of left it in the corner and ran. Not overly proud of myself tbh, and that was with avoiding the store in person on Boxing Day and just shopping online instead!!! Gah!!
(Not that avoiding the store actually helped anyway as Lush Glasgow had an unexpected post-Christmas, sale delivery on like the 29th meaning I went in on the 30th and bought another six things.... d'oh)

So, I picked up a couple of the half price Christmas gift boxes first of all. Their website was having some tech issues on Boxing Day unfortunately - things appearing and disappearing, leaving baskets and pages just hitting 503 errors constantly, I'm happy with what I ended up with but I honestly can say I had no idea what was in my basket when I checked out lol (nor did I ever receive a confirmation email, meaning the 24 hours between ordering and calling them to find out what I had actually ordered, was more than a little tense!)! Anyhoo, first up I apparently chose, Whoop Whoop. This is a super cool gift set with a paper accordion, reusable decoration built into the lid. When or where I'll reuse it I'm not sure, but it's seriously pretty!

Inside there is: a Fizzbanger Bath Bomb (a warm, apple pie scented ball of yumminess, and a new one for me), a Brightside Bubble Bar (the freshest tangerine scent of all time, my favourite Lush bubble bar!). Also, an Avobath Bath Bomb (zesty and refreshing, another favourite of mine!), a 100g pot of Whoosh Shower Jelly which smells lovely, like lemons and just freshness-y, but I'm a little nervous about having reacted quite badly to the Sweetie Pie Shower Jelly just recently, hopefully it was a specific issue with the scent ingredients in that one and not to jelly stuff in general. Then we have a Drummer's Drumming Reusable Bubble Wand - this one is new to me, but I've had the wands before and feel like you get so much out of them, plus, this one has bells so you know I'm totally playing with it like a three year old as I write this. Scent wise it actually wasn't what I expected - I was thinking it would be sickly sweet, but while it is candyish, it's not on a snow fairy level! And lastly, there was a Northern Lights Bath Bomb which, correct me if I'm wrong, was released as a limited edition around Bonfire Night? I really wanted to try it, but never got the chance to. It smells like ... (gah, I suck at this so bad!!) quite fruity and slightly musky.

The second gift set I picked up was the Star of Wonder. Yeah remember how I said I wasn't that into Snow Fairy!??! *sigh* Anyway, this is a super pretty box and it contains: a Sparkler Bath Ballistic, another that was released in October or so; it did arrive smashed in two, but it'll be fine.Secondly there was a 100g bottle of Snow Fairy; a good amount for me, I feel. Then there was a Candy Mountain Bubble Bar - so you can bring the sickly sweet smells into the tub with you. I get easily two uses out of this though, woohoo. Then we have Shoot for the Stars Bath Bomb - which I had for the first time just before Christmas and became an instant favourite (seriously, it makes your bath water look like the night sky!). Then, there's a Snow Fairy Shimmer Bar which is Snow Fairy scented and leaves a gentle shimmer/glow on your skin; really nice for night out. And, lastly, there was a Star Light Star Bright Bath Melt, which is still in the wrapper because it's covered in silver lustre that will end up everywhere, but, because it's still wrapped, I have no idea what it smells like!

And lastly from the online order, I picked up two of the Percup Massage Bars, which are new to me, but I figured for half price - I'd use 'em! They have coffee beans in them and are designed to energise and warm up skin and muscles; they have quite a deep, masculine scent.

Then, you see, I popped into my local Lush store on the 30th and they still had some sale stuff - so what was a girl to do?!
Firstly I grabbed a nice big chunk of Yog Nog soap - a new festive favourite of mine that smells like a spicy, festive, butterscotch pudding.
Then, I hit the bath goodies; I chose a Christmas Eve Bubble Bar (a new one for me but it smells spicy and sweet and AMAZING, and it's big, so I should get two uses), a (beakless) Christmas Penguin Bubble Bar - who smells like the amazing Olive Branch shower gel, a Melting Snowman Bath Melt who smells like spiced vanilla yumminess, and, a Christmas Hedgehog Bubble Bar - who doesn't seem to have a super strong smell at all? (I'm sure he's just shy and he'll be lovely when he gets in the tub though!) And the last thing I picked up was another little 100g bottle of Snow Fairy (did I mention I'm not that into Snow Fairy?!?)

And so that's it for my little Lush haul then... if anyone sees me heading into a Lush store soon, please shout at me!!
