What I got for my Birthday!

Once again, I have been thoroughly spoiled by family and friends on my birthday. I don't want to kind of just list everything here, but I did want to talk about some of the beauty bits I was lucky enough to receive. Spoiler: it is a lot of makeup!! (they know me so well..)

Real Techniques Nic's Picks Brush Set and a  Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge. I've wanted to try both of these for ages, so, when my aunt and uncle gave me some money and I found the brushes for a great price online I snapped them up. I'm using a Beauty Blender sponge at the moment, but, after only a few months it seems to be kind of dying and they're not exactly cheap to replace on this regular a basis so, while the general consensus seems to be that nothing is the same as a Beauty Blender, I'd like to try this Real Techniques one out for myself and make up my own mind about it.

Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette and the Too Faced Natural Eyes Palette. The first from my mum and the second from my gran - I just couldn't resist! This is why I don't generally let myself browse the Too Faced counter! I haven't really played with either of these yet but from swatches alone, I am seriously impressed. The Chocolate Bar palette in particular gets a lot of hype, but I think it's going to live up to it.

Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer. My sister very kindly bought me this after hearing me talk about it for ages but knowing that I'd struggle to justify spending this kind of money on it. I've only worn it once so far but already I can see I'll struggle to go back to another concealer - this, again, does seem to actually be worth the hype!

Urban Decay Sheer Revolution Lipstick in Rapture. Kenny and I actually bought each other a smoothie maker for our birthdays, but, as a little parcel to open on the day I was lucky enough to get one of the new Sheer Revolution Lipsticks from Urban Decay which I have been ogling and swatching from the moment they were released. Rapture is just such a beautiful, dusky, pink nude and we all know I love a good sheer lip!

No7 Blush and Glow Collection - I've been dying to try any one of these products for ages, so to get all three was a real treat! I think once Spring comes in these are just going to be fantastic. The highlight is a light, golden shade, the blush is a great, candy pink and the bronzing highlighter is... well, a bronzing highlighter - which hopefully make me look a little sunkissed in the summer time!

Large Z Palette - my Dad asked what I wanted for my birthday and I asked him for this because I really want to try and do something to my single shadows. Think he was a little bemused as to what it actually is (despite several attempts to explain it...) but nevertheless he ordered it for me. So, so excited to finally have one of these - I can see this being the beginning of a very beautiful friendship!

Lush Secret Garden Bath Bomb - I actually ended up with two of these, not that I'm complaining! These come out as part of the Mothers Day collection and I absolutely love them, so to get two is super handy, because, as limited editions, I can't pick them up any time I like!

And so those are the beauty bits I received this year as birthday gifts - like I said at the start, I am one very lucky girl! Hopefully I can try them all properly in the near future and get some review posts up for some of the more interesting, or newer to me items!
