Wore this coral shade last week in a desperate attempt to convince myself it was Spring. While I can't say it helped me not notice the fact it was snowing (...in April...), I really did enjoy wearing it all the same.

I'm always a bit meh on gel formula nail polishes, 'cos I'm gonna topcoat anyway and, in the case of the Barry M versions, I think the gel formula is less easy to work with than their original - so, in other words, not worth it at all for me. This Models Own polish however has a much less "sticky" feeling and instead, it's much more "creamy" to apply, and it only needed one coat for me. I did apply a second, more out of habit than anything else, but could easily have just worn it as one.

Shade wise, I actually wasn't all that keen on this when I got it last year, on the shelf it's not something that jumps out at me to wear, but actually, on my nails, I really liked it. It's a coral with a bit of peach in it, so it gives a nice nod to Springish feelings without being to garish or bold for everyday wear.... in the snow.

Models Own Hypergel in Coral Glaze is available here for £4.99
