Makeup Revolution Vivid Baked Blushes

Makeup Revolution Vivid Baked Blushes

I just cannot get over how much I love Makeup Revolution, I really feel they give the rest of the High Street a run for the money - and usually at about a quarter of the price. And yet, despite the huge collection of their products I've now built up - every time I go to pick up something new, I look at the price and find myself thinking, it cannot be up to much. I have, so far, always been wrong.

I actually ordered these blushes online, on a whim. I was placing a Superdrug order (only for exciting things like mouthwash and deodorant...) and well, you can't not order a little treat, right? I have been madly in love with the Max Factor Creme Puff blushes of late and the whole heady affair has put me on rather a blush kick, so, when I saw these baked blushes from MUR at only £2.50 each and on 3 for 2, well, I chucked them in my virtual basket faster than I can think of something witty to end this sentence with.

Makeup Revolution Vivid Baked Blush One For Playing Games
First shade I chose was One For Playing Games - which is a kind of cool toned, candy pink. The finish on it isn't shimmery, as in, there's no sparkles, it's almost slightly metallic, but not - 'cause I'm aware that sounds kinda horrendous for a blush. I think for Spring this is cheery and will really freshen up a lot of my otherwise completely nude looks.

Makeup Revolution Vivid Baked Blush Hard Day

Then, having a momentary panic about straying from nudes, I chose Hard Day; a warm, brown toned blush that is just so my kind of thing. This has basically the same sort of finish as the above, so again, nice and bright for this time of year, but, I can still rock a nude look with this one.

Makeup Revolution Vivid Baked Blush Bang Bang You're Dead

And the last one is Bang Bang You're Dead, this is another pink but a much warmer, almost sort of fuschia shade that makes it, for me, a bit more accessible. I like pink blushes, I like purple blushes, but for some reason really cool toned pinks always take a bit of effort for me, so yes, I picked this one up to be a more day to day wearable option.

Makeup Revolution Vivid Baked Blushes Swatches

So far, I'm really happy with them. The pigmentation is fantastic and they apply and blend out really nicely - though the colours may look a little intimidating in the pan, I've found they're all very wearable, even One For Playing Games. The wear time I've found to be a little lacking; though to be completely fair it's suddenly gotten a lot warmer here in Scotland and running about on my feet all day at work (yes, sweating a little...) is certainly having a negative effect on my makeup wear time in general. For £2.50 though these are fantastic, I'd really recommend them - especially if you're looking for a cheap way to add a pop of Spring to your look.
