Current Beauty Wishlist

I've been out of the beauty game for a little while now; the usual combination of work and life events that get on top of everyone sometimes, I think. It's funny though because even though I haven't bought makeup in months, my wishlist is really much smaller than I thought it would be! I suppose maybe once you haven't bought lipstick in 3 months you realise that it actually doesn't kill you to be without that newest launch. Still, nobody panic, I do have my eyes on a few bits and bobs...

1. Makeup Revolutio New-trals vs. Neutrals Eyeshadow Palette (£6.99)
I think this looks like a great palette for going into Autumn/Winter. You have some really warm, reddish shades to play with, along with some super icy blue/grey hues throw in there. I know most of the beauty world seems to be abuzz with the news of the Urban Decay Vice 4 Palette (and don't get me wrong, in an ideal world I'd snap that right up..), but, being on more of a budget I am more than happy to make this my Autumn/Winter 15 Palette.

2. All the new Lush things...
I've inserted a picture of the Experimenter bath bomb as a place holder, but basically Lush launched a big new collection recently and I want, you know, all of it. I've been so restrained on the shopping front these past months that I haven't even been in to give things a sniff, but, I'm running low on conditioner now and somehow I don't think I'll be able to make it out of the store with just that in my basket...

3. Maybelline Color Sensational Matte Lipstick (in Divine Wine) (£6.99)
I'm not even sure how long ago these launched, however I only saw them for the first time last week and *gasp* I only had a matter of minutes to stand and swatch them! Still, I think Divine Wine is the shade for me for going into Autumn. I do love a good matte lip and Maybelline lipsticks are always amongst my favourites anyway, so I certainly have high hopes.

4. Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish (£26.00 for 200ml)
I finished a massive tube of this just last month and I absolutely fell in love with it. Again. However I have a bunch of little samples and miniature cleansers that have been lurking in drawers for a little too long now, so I'm forcing myself to use those up before I can be reunited with my beloved Cleanse and Polish.

5. Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Polish in Chai (£3.99)
I feel like I have a nice range of Autumnal golden and red shades to take me into the next season, but a nice grey can be hard to come by. They can look really flat and cheap, or they can really wash your skin out. This one looks like it's going to be a warm, flattering shade - plus Barry M is my favourite brand for nail polishes. But I haven't bought a single nail polish in 2015 and to be honest, as much as I want this one, I don't suppose I really need it (or do I?! Someone give me a reason!!)

And so those are the things I'm eyeing up at the moment, all be it from a bit of a distance. Have you tried any of these? What do you think? What's on your wishlist at the moment?

  1. I have that New-Trals palette on my wiggliest too.
I've also been thinking about getting the Contour palette, although i'm not sure yet because i don't do contour on a daily basis. But it looks so pretty! :\
