Autumn Berry FOTD

Normally, when I think Autumnal makeup, I think reds, golds, bronzes - partly because I love those colours, but also no doubt in part because they allow me to still wear some of my beloved neutral shades and crack out a nude lip. This year however, I've gone back to an old favourite palette and I'm just loving this look that I'm wearing from it...

So here's everything that's on my face:

Maybelline EyeStudio Color Tattoo in Creamy Beige (£4.99)
Maybelline Color Drama Lipstick in Berry Much (£4.99)
Sleek Blush in Pink Mint (Part of the Pink Lemonade Trio) (£9.99)
Topshop Glow Highlighter in Polish (£9.00)
Sleek Full Fat Lash Mascara (£6.99)
The Body Shop Honey Bronze Bronzing Powder in 01 (£13.00)
Urban Decay Smoked Palette (£36.00)

I'm not going to list how I applied everything to my face - trust me, I'm not doing anything revolutionary - but as for the eye look, I'll point out some specifics as it's hard to pick out shades from the photos.

First off I took the  Maybelline Tattoo in Creamy Beige and applied it all over my lid; I then blended it out and into the crease using a fluffy brush. Then, into the Urban Decay Smoked Palette where I took Mushroom and patted it all over my lid, then again, blended it out slightly. I then went in with Kinky and put it just in the inner corner of my eyelid and on the browbone. Next onto Rockstar - such a beautiful purple shade -  which I placed on the outer third of my lid, and up into the crease *blend blend blend*. Then, to give just a little more definition to the crease, in particular in the outer corner, I took some Backdoor - a lovely, deep, matte brown, just made for this job - and just gently patted into the outer corner of my crease and just blended again. To finish th look and pull things together, I then took Rockstar on an angled brush and ran some lightly under my eyes - and blended it out to stop it looking like too harsh a line.

While I don't see myself turning my back on my beloved golds and reds any time soon, I'm really enjoying wearing this look to mix things up a little. Normally purple shadow would be 'out there' for me, but in this look I think it is actually wearable - who'd have thunk it?!? Also, as a side note, this lipstick is my absolute favourite berry shade - it lasts so well, even through eating and drinking (as long as you don't eat like me when I'm alone and starving late at night....)
